Yep, us poor cali sob's are getting it good. 87 is now 2.36 a gallon. I have to use 91 though, and it's 2.60 a gallon. :bite: It doesn't look like gas is getting any cheaper anytime soon either. Looks like we might be hitting the 3 dollar mark soon. Many have predicted 4 dollars by next summer. :bite: :bite:

...in a sick way though, I kind of hope this ends the whole SUV rage. :rant2: Yes, I'm anti-suv.

... and people ask me why I'm not out driving. (Well, gas is really the second factor. The first is that my rear set [previously my front set, but I moved 'em out back because there's less negative camber back there] of Falken Azenis Sports are down to 1/32" left before they're to the wear bars, and I don't have the money to replace 'em. Thus, I'm driving on FAS [my old rear set] up front and Bridgestone Potenza RE92s out back... not a good grip setup.)

My family owns two SUVs and I don't see the reason for either. I hope we sell them and buy that CTS-V my dad's been looking at...

Get ready to pay more if a certain person is elected.

John Kerry's Record of Supporting Higher Gas Taxes:

1994: Backed Half-Dollar Increase In Gas Tax. “Kerry said [the Concord Coalition’s scorecard] method did not accurately reflect individual lawmakers’ efforts to cut the deficit. ‘It doesn’t reflect my $43 billion package of cuts or my support for a 50-cent increase in the gas tax,’ Kerry said.” (Jill Zuckman, “Deficit-Watch Group Gives High Marks To 7 N.E. Lawmakers,” The Boston Globe, 3/1/94)

RJF, what would be your excuse for why the fuck the price of gas is going up with Bush as president? I would rather be TOLD that the price was going to spike, in order to appropriately prepare myself than to go to sleep on Wednesday needing gas, then waking up Thursday to find that the price of gas has jumped $0.15/gallon...

... THIS IS NOT A POLITICS THREAD, LEAVE IT AS SUCH, TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE AND LEAVE THIS BULLSHIT TO THE BOLLSHIT POLITICAL THREADS.

As long as it takes SUVs off the road, I don't mind paying the high prices.

I don't see the big deal in gas prices. I "fill" my car up every two/three weeks.

Old 93 cost roughly 1.75 a gallon

New 93 cost roughly 2.15 a gallon

I ussually get around 13 gallons in a stop so instead of paying $22.75 I pay $27.95 for a HUGE whooping difference of $5.20. Oh no I'm going broke now paying an extra ~$11 a month

I've read a couple other reports and it looks like its a definite that gas IS and WILL be going up. I forget the source since I was skimming through a couple, but one analyst stated "Even with the rising prices, demand does not seem to dwindle at all".
Which you all know means prices will rise until supply and demand work themselves out again.

BTW, Kuwait is the richest country in the world, easily beating out the US and Japan.

umm.. what source is that from? ..i dont think kuwait is the richest.. they lack other natural resources so they need to trade instead of sell..
