So i broke one of the bolts on my sr....its not a head stud, but it is one of two bolts that is really not a beefy bolt...goes through the head into the wall of the front cover on the block. Not a big deal is it? my feeling is that there are the head studs sealing the cylinders holes and the coolant holes... the other are just to make a "superficial" seal so oil runoff from the cams and timing chain doesnt leak out the front cover by tickling down the sides. Keep in mind, one bolt is still in there. The reason for my idea that it doesnt matter is that there are no torque specs in the FSM for those, and they are really weak parts.
ideas?
