Ka24de high idle

This car is a sohc to dohc swap and ever since I swapped the motor the idle is high on the car about 2k-2300 (tack doesn't work so I'm guessing) what can I do to bring the idle down?

Things I've done was just turn the idle screw but It legit didn't change anything and stayed the same

Have you checked IACV, or anything? Plugs wires?

The idle screw won't do anything if you have leaks elsewhere in the intake system. You should go through and do the following:

Adjust TPS
Adjust throttle body
Clean throttle body
Clean IACV
Replace cracked/ broken vacuum lines/pcv hoses
Check for intake leaks after the MAF

If you do all of that and still have an idle issue, you probably have a bad IAVC or MAF

I have an iacv delete which is what I think is causing it to be idling high. I didn't remove it I got the motor with that deleted already

Okay, so still do everything I said, other than cleaning the IACV. If you have no IACV, I am guessing the previous owner of the motor adjusted the throttle body to set idle, you should be able to readjust it, close it more, and get the idle to settle.

The throttle body is easy to adjust, as well as the screw for the throttle cable and throttle stop. Disconnect the throttle cable and sure that the engine idles where you want it, then connect the cable, and you should be good to go. But I second the checking for leaks.

Thanks for all the replies guys but I've been doing a few searches and it looks like it won't make sense to lower the idle due to the fact that I live on the east coast and on cold starts it would be a bitch to get the car started so I'm just going to keep it the way it is tbh

I'd think it would be good to adjust it prior to the summer. You can simply adjust the throttle cable in October before the cold season.
I'm thinking the colder more dense air will make the idle go even higher when it's very cold out.

Surprisingly the idle isn't much different in the cold, I've started this thing in like 20 degree (F) weather and it idled the same

You should probably just put an IACV back on the intake.

There's absolutely no reason you shouldn't have one. You can't determine if you actually have a problem when related parts are missing off of the vehicle.

I have my iacv hooked up, but I can unplug it if need be... for whatever reason.
