Says for the 300zx rear brake upgrade
But this also to do the Evo viii rears

Have the Evo viii rears already

Trying to buy everything so I can have a shop install it
Believe this is only the rear assembly
I need to get
300zx rotors
R32 ebrake cable
300zx brake lines
If I have it wrong please correct me and/or I am missing anything

And bm57 more that likely be done at same time

If you have an S13 you need Z32 2+2 ebrake cables, if you have an S14 you need R33 ebrake cables. Both will require a plate to allow you to properly mount the cables on an Schassis vehicle.

As for the brake master cylinder, I never had issues running a stock BMC on my full Z32 brake setup, I could lock up the tires incredibly easily. I'm sure a larger BMC would have helped with the initially soft pedal my car had.

Evo calipers use the same size rotor as the Z32 caliper, therefore you can use the complete Z32 E-Brake assembly with them.

The evo 8/9 rear rotors are similar to the z32's, but the ebrakes are smaller so it won't work. The evo rear calipers won't bolt on the knuckle either, so you will need a bracket.

I believe the bias for the stock 240sx BMC is close to the z32 but you don't want to have to push the pedal to the floor every time you need to stop.

I could have sworn that the rotor was the same diameter and thickness, maybe I am thinking of STi bembo's though.

They are a tad thicker and larger in diameter. It's like mm's in difference. R33 vspec rear rotors would work well, but they are expensive for a minimal gain in rotor size.

Just use the STi calipers and z32 rotors they work fine. There's only like 1-2mm of pad overhang.

Forgot to put the car it's going on
98 240sx

So r33 ebrake cables
And 300zx rotors
Thought the evo viii rears needed 3mm spacers to a girl
And the sti direct bolt up

I'm not doing the Install having a shop do it just wanted to get the parts needed
They over charge for parts imho

Thanks for the info so far

So the link in my first post is the correct parts needed for this?

No 240.. No id

I think the STI's 03ish model rear brembos will bolt right on the schassis

I didn't think evo rear calipers worked at all. Did someone start making a bracket kit? I have a set of evo rears. May have to do some research.

The only thing I don't like about that kit is how it spaces your hubs out by 6mm. My tires are already close to the fenders as it is. And for the price I'd rather just go with some akebono's

Pricey but that's if you run with the 350mm rotor
Have to research more but I thought the smaller 300zx rotor if used bracket is not needed

That IMHO is drift tax
Don't need to spend that much on just a bracket
Will keep doing research

Street Faction is making a rear conversion bracket that will accept a CTS-V 4 pot caliper for the rear that uses an EVO 8 rotor.

Back on track
Have Evo viii rear calipers
To complete shopping list I need
300zx rotors
300zx rear brake assembly
R33 2+2 ebrake cables
Is that all I need
Didn't start this thread to be hijaked
Just asked a question seems no one wants to answer
But come up with other options
This is the option I'm doing this is my set up
Not interested in anything else but my set up

Have the Evo viii rear calipers already
Pass on the $400+ bracket for 350mm rotors
I'm hoping overkill my car will never see the track
Thanks for reading
