Can s13 springs be used on Z32 struts in the rear? I understand the strut mounts are different, but I was wondering if I could simply swap my S13 springs over to the Z32 strut, or if there was a significant problem with doing this?

I looked on the Tein website and there are 2 different p\n's, so I am assuming the answer is going to be "No" and that I have to use Z32 springs, but just thought I'd ask

Z32 and S13 shocks are identical save for the lower mount design. S13 uses the ball type, Z32 uses a fork type. The S13 springs and all hardware can be swapped right over to the Z32 shock. credit: projectRDM

This is only recommended when you are doing coilovers. Not so much strut and spring combo.

If they are cheap it's because someone may not want to go through the additional expenses of making them work. You will need coilovers with different lower rear bracket that converts from Eye-bolt type to Fork type. Shocks will not be worth the effort. The savings is not there.

I already have the z32 uprighst and i have the correct z32 strut. I was asking if i could use an s13 spring on this. I have to buy 4x springs if not, ita not a big deal but it is 160ish. I have brand new s13 springs. Thanks again

i would guess that z32 springs would be stiffer than s13 springs.
