anyone else have this problem? My fastback always has dirt on the rear bumper. Even after I was it, like a few hours later it will have dirt all over it. Where is is coming from?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say....

the dirt is from around the Clemson, SC area.

i noticed when i removed my spoiler, suddenly there was a lot more dirt on the back of my car.

so the stock spoiler is functional!

i have definately noticed this...wash...wax... drive. Instantly dirt appears on the rear bumper... the top of it. Damn white cars.

car cover would be a recomendation then. there's one i saw in an infomercial that's indestructible against water, stains, bird shit and it takes seconds to put on and take off the car. i might try it, that is when i get a worthy paintjob...

your going to drive around with a car cover on?

i think it has to do with the air pressure/lack of it at speed. Picture a draft, there is pretty much a dead spot of no wind back there so dirt just kinda sticks.

i have the answer to this problem.. its coming from the seems of the rear lights.. it has water in it after you wash or if it rains. it comes out when you drive. you can simply blow it out or drive for a sec and then wipe the water of your bumper before for it collects any dirt... i think thats what you are talking about...

Is it black? (the dirt) Sometimes you can get a sooty layer on the bumper when the engine is runnig rich.

I agree with daredevildoug but a car is always gonna get dirty no matter what. whether ts sprinklers or just water on the road.

Thats what i am thinking it is. cause like the rest of my car will be spotless, even on top of my hatch. then there will be dirt all over the top of my bumper.

Mine gets pretty dirty back there, too. I've always got brake/tire dust behind the wheels, as well.

California duster, use it 2-3 times a week. Also wash my car at least once a week, and wax once every 3 weeks.
