Yet another crank, no start issue.
What I've done:
- new fuel pump (it works)
- new fuel pump relay(s)
- crank set at tdc
- new distributor
- car has spark, air, and fuel
I know this is a longshot, but does anyone have any advice?

Major vacuum leak?

Thanks for replying guys, I really appreciate you. Could be a major vacuum leak but I doubt it, don't see anywhere it could possibly be coming from. And yep, just cranks and won't start. I got it start once when I changed the ecu from a #25 to #29, but then when I tried to start it again, I smelt a electric burning smell and the car just continued to crank. I opened the ecu and everything looked fine. Very confused :-/ ...

So the fuel pump will only turn on if I use a paperclip, and not with the relay. I'm thinking the fpr might react the same way. But why is this? Never take on other people's projects....

I had an issue like that recently and it turned out my ecu wasn't fully tightened

I was hoping it'd be something that simple. But what I've discovered is, it's one of three things:
- ECU
- Injectors not opening
- FPR

Try and check your fuel pressure somehow. Make sure the car is getting fuel at all. Even if the fuel pump makes noise it could still be dead. Also, as dumb as it sounds, check the fuel sending unit to make sure the lines are hooked up correctly. When I did my fuel pump, my brother and I hooked up the feed line to the return on the fuel sending unit. The pump was sending fuel through the system backwards lol. You never know who worked on your car last or what they did. (Or maybe you do), but I would still recommend check these two things.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

What I do notice is when I try to start it sometimes I hear a loud pop (like an air releasing sound) coming from one of the injectors, maybe the 3rd. But I don't think that'd be the reason it doesn't start? Idk...

Did you check the codes from the ecu ?

Alright, problem solved. The idler sprocket bolt isn't threading on. Might not be the original, need to find a oem bolt or a slightly bigger & longer bolt.
EDIT: Also changed ecu and that fixed the fuel problem.
