i'm removing my KA harness for a sr swap, and was wondering how to disconnect it on the inside of the car. do i haev to take apart some of the dash or what?
----- also - when i was removing the ka harness some of the clips were very stubborn and i am afraid i may have damaged them a little bit, no wires were ripped out or anything however some of the harness side connectors may be broken is that ok? i am planning on sending off my ka and sr harness to be re-wired so i can just plug it back up but i just wanted to make sure i didnt damage my ka harness - - thanks again

actually got that... how do i get it through the firewall?
ahhh you should search its cake, just take off the kick panel on the passenger side unplug the ecu and i think theres one other white plug you have to reach your hand up in there to get out, take of the little dust cover from the inside of the engine bay and pull that shit out, done, save the lower battery harness from your ka also. hope this helps.

humm well you disconnect the ECU and the Dash plug .. and you just pull the wire out off the interior by the engine bay... if it stop you go inside and try to move the ecu connector if its jammed in there...
not that hard ... :squint:

um. dude.. you arent even geting close to my question :axe:
i cant get the damn harness through the firewall. i've UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING AND THE ECU IS OUT. for one i cant get the harness of the clip that is at the first bend (coming from ecu to firewall).
i tried moving the big white thing (heater box?) but to no avail. the white thing is blocking one of the clips.

like F3 said once you've unplugged the ecu and the white dash plug you can pull it out through the firewall pretty easy, ive had to do it a few times

if you just pull then as you experienced, you end up trying to jam some thicker parts of the harness through the hole alongside some of the plugs and it gets stuck. Its easier to tape up stuff with electrical tape so that its goes through smooth.
