17x9.5 +30 will fit S13 in the rear, will require rolling the fender(bend the inner lip flat).
17x8.5 +15 will fit S13 in the front, will be very flush
I would like to get a set that I can interchange between my Z32 and S13. My S13 has a 5 lug swap, so no worries there. What offsets should I get? I like the 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 package.

I know the SPL's front lower bracket design is good, but I have a feeling that you're going to be buying spacers soon... The rears will be fine.

:mepoke: I think your crystal ball is broken, you will at the most need to roll (not pull) your fenders, unless you are running close to no camber.

He probably means in the front, where you'd need a 15mm+ spacer to clear coilovers. It wouldn't stick out much more than 9 +15s though, maybe a slight pull... In the rear it ain't no thing, I have firsthand knowledge. :coold:
tastyratz
10-15-2004, 07:14 AM
yea but i decided not to because I did the math. I talked to someone from my local boards with the same coilovers who put some 17x9 +15s on his car and had 15mm clearance. 17x9.5 +30 would give me 21mm LESS coilover clearance so id need a big ass spacer and I didnt wanna run big thick spacers and have a wider track up front. 21mm to JUST rub the coilovers = crazy ass spacer to clear safely. Of course if I did that id have to run a better spacer in back to balance things and then Id have to run longer studs and could have trouble clearing the upcoming s15 conversion. I didnt wanna have to deal with that because it could get reaaaaaaaaaaaly messy fast and went with something I knew would fit. Im probabbly just gonna run a 7mm spacer in the rear and call it a day with these. the only real decision is whether or not I mount 235s or 245s, and im thinking 235s. I dont wanna run a staggered setup so thats how I came to that, Im just glad I got a pm before it was too late!

If the 16s are available in hyperblack I may be interested.

17x9.5 +30 Will not clear coilovers in the front. It will fit in the rear of S13, Fender rolling might be required, depending on tire size and camber.
Hyperblack is Available in 16", we will add to our shopping cart today.
Thank you.

do we have to get a certain amount of members get in on this group buy for it to really happen, or just whoever pays gets?
Here's a quick question: when I ordered my wheels, 17x8.5 +25 5H and 17x9.5 +30 5H, the inventory wasn't blue yet, but like the next day it was. Does this mean that I'll be getting the wheels in inventory, or will I be waiting until November for the next shipment?
Also does the current inventory count Togue Factory's inventory or the producers of DT-05Rs?

I should have specified in the front thanks salty
you will need a large spacer size depends on which coils you have. I hope you don't have HE.
dt05r are nice wheels . bump for a good seller!!
they sent my 17x9 +15 and 17x10 +25 fn01rc for s13. great company to deal with

We have enough buyers currently for this groupbuy to go through.
The Inventory List is for the M2 company in Japan. We do not have these wheels instock in the USA. The wheels will be arriving from Japan, the inventory list is there to prevent any backorders.
Blue boxes mean that the current inventory for M2 has been sold out to TF. M2 has shipment coming in Nov, which means there are limited quantities for the blue boxes.
We will contact you, if any of the wheels are sold out.
Thank you

Heads up for interested buyers. We will be ending this groupbuy early, next few days, to prevent any backorders. We received an updated list today and M2 has sold some of the incoming wheels. M2 will be receiving their new shipment in November 10th. Most likely we will have all payments cleared by then and everyone's wheels will be shipped within that week. Most likely we will receive the wheels before Christmas.
Thank you.
Please do not send PM to zilvia account, I don't check it.

Last I heard the ETA for the container to arrive at the port was 12/15/04. Has Christmas come early?! How are people receiving wheels from this group buy already? That would be kickass if the wheels are in, since I had one of my stock ones freakin' work its way over the lugnuts this past weekend..
Any info would be appreciated.

Id rather have something unique because then its less likely to get stolen if they dont have a matching key thats universal.

Yaay mine came in today. Unfortunately I realized one of them was damaged. Seems somebody dropped the box and put a dent in the lip...you can see a flat spot on one side....it just sucks to know I waited this long for this to happen.
I'm curious to see how this one will be solved.
take it to a wheel shop to get it fixed! who has time to worry about a 50 dollar fix when you've got these wheels waiting to get mounted!!!

yea i dunno i stepped on my scale at my house that i always use, its just a little electronic scale. I didnt change anything between i still had my coat and all that good stuff on since i just walked in the door. I stepped on with the wheel and without the wheel i was 231 with the wheel and 207 without. math makes that 24 lbs. Salty do you have dt05rs that weigh that much? can some other people weigh their wheels and confirm the lard ass these things are?

Yeah, I just got mine today (woohoo), and in moving the boxes, they definitely didn't feel more than 20 lbs each.. I have 16's. Mine arrived in great shape, I checked 2 of them, but all the boxes looked fine so I'm pretty sure all 4 are A-ok. They are sweet looking wheels and I can't wait to put these new shoes on! alright looks like my scale was gay the other day. I just did it like 4 different ways. I got on holding the rim 2 diff ways and just did it on its own nothing else. Now its not as bad, its 22lbs definitely. thats a bit more of a useable weight. 245/40/17 toyo proxy t1-s tires are ~23lbs so 45lbs ea. wheel and tire combo end result. looks like im gonna have to do some fender rolling soon and get these suckers on... :-)

Anyone have 17x8.5s that might wanna straight out swap out for 9.5s +30? Not like i can swap out with m2 its custom from japan! anyone? bueller? bueller?
Holy crap these wheels are nice! Pics do not do the hyperblack color justice at all.
I got some 17x8.5 +25 and 17x9.5 +30 in hyperblack and they are simply stunning. I'm getting some Azenis mounted & balanced on them right now and will take some on car pics of them soon.
In the mean time enjoy my box opening pics:

Salty do you have dt05rs that weigh that much?
Yeah, I remember weighing them when I first got them, 8.5s were somewhere between 19-20, 9.5s were 21 I think.
M2 says 8.5s weigh 19 and 9.5s weigh 20, but TF said it was a little more than that in their 2nd GB thread, the one that didn't go through, I think it got deleted.

Jc: how much did that run you for those tires? and could you do me a favor and measure the diameter somehow? 245-45-17 on an 8 inch rim is a 25.7in diameter vs the stock 24.21. These however on a 9.5in rim are a light stretch and a bit different so it would be a smaller diameter, a little closer to stock. i didnt even think about azenis i didnt think they could be found in plus sizes like this since i knew they were limited :-)
I called and got quoted for proxy t1-s'
255-40-17
192.90
235-45-17
188.90
862.34
i coulda sworn they quoted me half that when i first ordered the rims god damn! i called about the azenis and got 149$ each for the 225s mounted up front and they are gonna call me back about the rears and was told to expect 10-20 more$ or so which i might end up going with them. my options are open, either that or maybe a bfgoodrick gforce kdw, dunno.
It came out to like $465 with them mounted and balanced. This is after a few employee discounts I have, for the average joe you're looking at around $560.
The 225/45/17 are about 24" and the 245/45/17 are about 25".
Very close to stock.

12-30-2004, 01:55 PM
Hmmmmmmm. new azenis for 2005? I might just wait. 255/40/17 here i come :-) unfortuanately the 235/40/17 isnt till q3 :-( im gonna have to use 225/45/17 up front. The older azenis are more beautiful but these grip better, perform better in the rain, and are lighter. I think im gonna wait to see how they look for now i have my snow tires...

Falken has no love for 16" guys. I'll be putting the 225/50/r15s over my stock wheels. As for the dt-05r's, I went with yokohama avs es100s (225/45- 245/45), those are being shipped as we speak.

That S14 looks awesome!
I test fitted my rears on my 300ZX and they are super nice.
I still need to get some proper lug nuts for them though, any suggestions?
hey that's pretty nice. nicer than i thought they would look. !

i bought the muteki lug nuts from phase2motortrend along with 60mm studs....
I dont have the DT-05R wheels.. :(
those studs and lugnuts are for my 5 lug conversion along with 17x8 35+ avs wheels in the fronts and 17x9 24+ offset cobra rims for the rears of my 95 240sx.. :D
the shipping for the studs and lugnuts from phase2 to new orleans was very quick ... it took about 5 days.....and that was during early december!
Here are some pics of the wheels on my Z32. Enjoy.

Well Dave is in Japan right now, so maybe he will go and talk with M2 to get a better feel of when they will come out. IIRC the wheels aren't finished yet so it might be a few months.
