I've in the process of adding some missing consult pins into my ecu plug and just noticed something odd, so I'm looking for some insight. I've been driving this s13 redtop for a couple years now and it has driven perfectly for a period in the past. I've been trying to pinpoint a lean cruise/idle condition, which led to me realizing my ecu connector didnt even have consult pins. Come to find out, after looking at the pinout, I'm missing a couple other pins altogether. The ones that are really boggling my mind are

8 - Ignition Signal #3
9 - Ignition Signal #4

How in the world has my car been running with only the ignition signal #1 and #2 pins connected?

All of the a/c related pins are completely missing too. Should I just look into purchasing a new wiring harness altogether; considering I'm currently trying to get my consult port and a/c system all connected and working?

You might have a new model ECU running your setup. See if this pinout matches what you're looking at better:

Oh yeah forgot to mention it's a 63 ecu. Unless for some reason I have a 63 ecu and a j4 wiring harness? Is that even a possibility?

So I am starting to think I do in fact have a harness that is pinned for a j4, j5 ecu. The harness has a wire pinned into slot 5 and according to the s13 sr pinout, slot 5 isn't even used. So is there really a chance that this whole time I've had a 97-98 j4/j5 harness in my car with a 63 ecu? Keep in mind I have a red top in a 92 s13. How has my car been running this whole time?
