Knock sensor

S14.5 1998: One of the codes I pulled off my ECU is the knock sensor and I was wondering if I should just replace it, there is no knocking that I can hear its just I dont know about this. :cry: Thanks Chuy

Nope....Knock Sensor codes seem to be a common occurence on DOHC KA motors. Chances are it's your wiring harness. Check the ground wires that connect to the engine block on the rear driverside engine block...just above the Oxygen sensor. You've probably got a short in the wire there. Don't know why, but the idiot Nissan engineers run like 8 different ground wires for various sensors on the motor to that one point. Go figure...
