My engine will be needed a rebuild soon (christmas break area) when i have the time and tools to do the work. I am planning on this setup:

* Weisco 9.0:1 forged pistons 86.5 bore
* Kepping my S15 turbo at 14psi
* Setrab oil cooler setup controlled by thermostate in sandwich plate
* Tomei 550cc injectors
* GReddy Valve springs
* Crower titanium valve spring retainers
* GReddy RAS
* HKS 264 Step 2 intake/exhaust cams
* New OS Giken 6 puck disk for my clutch
* Full gasket kit for the rebuild

Is there anything i should not do or anything i should add that is imperitive for this setup. I plan on doin a bunch of roadracing events (just practice and fun) when the season comes back around for the eastcoast. This setup will go on a 180SX sr20det blacktop.

*******
Should i run?
A. Greddy 1.2mm Headgasket(giving me 8.7:1 compression with new pistons)
B. Factory 0.8mm Headgasket (giving me 9.0:1 compression with new pistons)
*******

All kinds of advice will be helpful, this project will not be going underway for a few months, but I want to have my parts waiting for me when my break comes back aroudn so i can havemy engine back togeather before its tome to go back to school.

i don't see it mentioned but you'll want to put in all new bearings seeing as you'll already have everything apart

along with water pump, and oil pump. If your going to invest that much money in a motor, might as well put all new maintaince parts as well for extra insurance.

I already have water pump, i know the basics like fuel and oil filters as well, but why oil pump, my engine hasnt blown or anything, just my rings are all worn out

its just a good time to do it, might as well while your in there. i'd stick with the stock thickness headgasket, but maybe arp hardware. what are you doing for tuning? are you re sleeving or just boring out whats in there?

im goin to bore it out, only doin 86.5 not the 87, do you suggest using stock headgasket in general, or a metal one with close to stock thickness?

....thinner headgasket will move my compression up tp 9.0:1 instead of the 8.7:1-8.8:1 if i use my current greddy headgasket

i will be gettin arp headstuds, and con rod bolts, they are on my list here, not the one i posted previously
