I made a thread a couple months ago about what anime to watch. Well i just got done watching naruto up to episode 90, and DAMN! I love it, I'm hooked. Everything was perfect in that anime. It was just my style, funny, serious, great story line, awsome action. I will recommend anyone to watch Naruto, the best anime I've seen recently.

So now my quest continues. I'm once again in the market for something similar to Naruto/Ranma/Robotech/Gundam. Recommend me anything with a nice little description. Shoot!!!

I have seen some post about Full metal alchemist, but nothing about the story line. Can you descibe it a bit more?

Also leave initial d out of this, yes we've all seen it.

"Imagine a world in which Alchemy is not only possible, but used frequently. Alchemy, though, is a science, and with all sciences there are laws that must be followed. Welcome to the anime, Full Metal Alchemist. The story begins about two brothers, Alphonse (left) and Edward (right) Elric. Ever since they were young they had practiced the science of alchemy. You follow their journey of being alchemists and their quest to regain that which they have lost.



Their father was a well recognized alchemist, which is probably where their knack for it comes from. However, when they were young their father left, and they remained in the care of their mother. One day their mother died, and in their innocence and ignorance, they attempted what was forbidden, human alchemy.




What happened next, they were obviously not prepared for, and in the aftermath the brothers lost more than just their mother. In the freak accident Alphonse loses his body, and in a moment of panic Edward ties his brother's soul to a piece of armor. Edward himself loses an arm and a leg, a costly reminder of what has happend.



The story begins and details the brother's journey to find a alchemy amplifier so that they may return to their normal bodies."

103 seems to be pretty spicy, cause they actually get some action in. 104 should be a pretty good episode as well.

I'd recommend Nadesico. Its a parody of all the space drama/robot anime that came out. Silly sometimes, has a serious side, cool mecha and a love story to boot. If you've already seen Robotech/Macross, Gundam, you'll recognize a lot of the references.

Macross Zero is new and also very good if you liked Robotech.. it is a prequel to Macross and follows Roy Fokker and the Skull Squadron before the SDF-1.

Gundam Seed Destiny just started airing. First ep was good.

The anime version of the popular manga Bleach just aired a lil while ago. Naruto fans should enjoy it. I like it more than naruto already lol.

Lain is really wierd but cool if you like that stuff.

Like Ranma... Tenchi OVA series is pretty good, comedy + action... the TV series sucked. From the creator of Ranma, Inu Yasha is good for fighting anime, Maison Ikkoku for light comedy and love story.

Flame of Recca is pretty good if you like fighting anime like Yu Yu Hakusho.

If you havent already seen it, Rurouni Kenshin TV series is good up until the Shishio story line ends... (i think 1- 76) then it kinda drags on forever.
