So I f*cked up when I tried to take out my crankpulley with a pulley puller and I damaged the threads inside the crank. (you know where the crankshaft pulley bolt goes in)

This was months ago and I have time enough now to fix my car. So I know there are a lot of options.

A threadfile didnt work since my pulley is still on there and the damn thing won't move a little. (engine is still in the car)

I ordered a M16 x 1.5 tap to re-tap it. But take a look at the pic first: https://postimg.org/image/oy8j7hjjt/

It's like the only 2 - 3 threads are damaged. Do I have to re-tap the whole thing? Or is there a different easy way to fix the first few threads with the pulley still on it.

Thanks! I am a noob when it comes to cars so go easy on me :(

edit; Its about a SR20DET Redtop (s13)

I would try to retap the whole thing so all the threads are clean personally on both the crank and the bolt...usually I have been told you have to replace the crank tho...gl
