Cause most of the parts come from japan and the SR20 is the engine sold in Silvias. All the parts from japan are for the SR20. Some American companys make KA parts but, at the same time many are jumping on the SR20 bandwagon.

I know about CA18 but they teh suck...

Yes.

KA has pretty good aftermerket, but SR is more poular, and has been more popular...so it has MANY, MANY more options than the KA.

KA = More for the DIY'ers IMO. (me)

SR = Bolt in and go, buy more bolt on HP.

thanx for the repsonces. im thinking about getting a 240 as a project car. ive come across some cheap ones on the net. might be able to get decent whole car for $5ooo in stock condition, then was thinking about the sr swap though i would prefer the ka.

Aftermarket support is lacking for the KA when compared to the SR (As previously posted) for many reasons. One of the main ones is the SR's popularity in Japan wher eit originated and is used like crazy.

All right, I will instigate here...
KAs are better than SRs!!! ;)
