Mine fits very tight to the driver side lower floor pan.

That being said, I wouldn't have any other DP if I had a choice.

Bump for a nice piece by PBM. Had one on my last SR'd car in the States. It's not oval pipping iirc...it's just short and has that braided section to let it flex (or COBRA FLEXXXXXX) when/if you hit something. You'd have to be crazy low to hit it on something.
