Hey, so i bought and Isr short shifter v2 the other day, but when i try to install it I came across the problem of it not fitting, the little bushing at the end doesn't seem to go in, I compared it to the original and they appear to be the same size/ I tried tried pushing it in, tapping it in, taking of the little pushing and just trying to tap it in nothing seems to be working, any tips?
Stock 240sx trans btw, and yes its the right shifter

I had this problem last week when i installed mine.
Just sand the bushing evenly all around. Thats what i did and no problems.

Take the bushing off the shifter, lube it, and gently drive it into the receiver in the transmission then pop the shifter into it. It's borderline impossible to put it in straight with it on the shifter since it freely articulates.
No sanding required. The metal bushings are just as hard to get in, if you sand it down it defeats the purpose of buying a tight short shifter.

I threw mine in the freezer for an hour or so, afterward it went right in been 2 years and haven't had any problems

They fit just fine. It's just a tight fitting bushing so there's no slop. The problem is generally when lowering the bushing into the hole it tends to get cockeyed easily. If it's not 100% straight it wont go in. Also helps throwing a bit of grease on the bushing.
