I know there's a thousand threads about auto to manual swap, but this is a problem i ran into. I finish my swap on a 93 240sx but run into a problem.i did all the wiring correctly.the problem is that my car will idle at 1500 rpm all the time. When i drive its fine.when i stop it goes down to 700 rpm and jump right back ip to 1500 rpm. When the car is in complete stop or just running the engine,it would stay at 1500 rpm.running the auto ecu atm.any help please..

Some times my cruise control cable or throttle cable gets stuck and leaves the throttle cracked open a bit.

Also, adjust your timing and idle. You just took off +58lb rotational mass called torque converter and replaced it with 25lb flywheel, that will definitely change the loading on your engine at idle

Pretty sure it's the auto ECU. I just did the swap and I kept my auto ECU and it will do that. Mine will eventually drop to regular idle after a few seconds though. Read somewhere it has to do with the auto ECU compensating for the torque converter, but with that gone it will idle high for a bit then correct itself.

I did my timing still nothing.it would still idle over 1300...if i close the screw in the back of the intake manifold, when i run and come to a complete stop..my engine shuts down.. So yeah i got a manual kade ecu and when i plug in the ecu, start smoking..not sure why or do i have to do some wiring in order for the car to run normally
