This actually works? Sorry, I could just be informed. I thought my only option was with a Vlsd and those 6 point outputshafts

Of course it works it's a nismo 2way for a skyline so you get the 6 bolt shafts for the bigger axles

Very nice setup! Figured it must be skyline. Do you know if the threads are for m13 or m12 gear bolts?

what spline are the stubs
what model nismo diff is it

The real benefit here is the larger splines on the stub shafts since it's a skyline carrier.
It may be an R200, but the Q45 diff doesn't fit an S-Chassis housing. So if this fits in the Q45 housing, it probably also won't fit an S-Chassis housing.

IIRC, the only thing stopping it from fitting is the larger output bearings right? you could press on different bearings to fit the s-chassis housing I think

This fits the R200, Q45 fits LSD fits S-SHASSIS HOUSING (R200). The housings are what change R230 is the Q45 housing if im not mistaken.

Only those output shafts will work?
Q45 6x1 output shafts seem to be longer
Clean98
12-02-2016, 09:31 AM
Yes this is a clutch type the shafts are shorter than the normal q45 lsd has a longer shaft on one side you can't use these on a regular diff it won't work

i run this exact same setup. the stub shafts are from and r32 gtr with the helical diff. i used a q45 housing and gear set. yes it works. driven several thousand no issues. you just need to setup the gear lash. id rather have a 1.5way diff for how i drive. you will also need the q45 hubs or the z32tt hubs, bigger splines for the axles. bump for you
