This is inset too far for my liking, is this how it should be? Line me out Zilvians

Ok, when the hood is closed, the weather strip protrudes the grill and of course, pictured, there is a good 1/4 gap from front of grill to light. Pictures of others seem to look better than mine, but then again, it could just be the angle or my perception of the photo.

Yours does look like it's inset a bit too far. Shim it with some washers?

thats what I was thinking, get rid of the OE clips all together and do a nut/bolt setup with some washers. I am too particular to go that route though. I need that clean OEM look! Haha. Hopefully I can get some more insight into this, if anything, looks like I will try to source another grill… Autech would be nice :naughty:

that's how I mounted my usdm grill after I broke the clips. Worked perfect.

After endless digging and finding front cuts, OE s14a's, etc. I finally found numerous examples of it being inset like this. I guess that's how it is supposed to be, not my cup of tea, but will work for now. Appreciate you helping me out.

Def would rock nuts and washers once the clips give out
