I've been havin' some issues with my 89 240. Last night when I was driving it it acted like the clutch was not fully disengaging. I tried to pull up my driveway and it would just rev up real high and roll backwards. In fact any time I put the throttle down, even in 5th gear it revs up real high and slowly the RPMs fall as it accelerates.

any and all help is very much appreciated as I am clueless on this issue and don't want to replace things that aren't broken.
