Quick question guys, I have a s15 sr20det and need some information. I have a maf for a zenki 14 sr20det which has the square plug. I know the plugs are different between the zenki maf and kouki maf(which will work the s15 because the same oval plug) but is there any other difference there. I'm gong to wire it up for start up and break in if it will work, I have a z32 maf but I'm waiting until I get it running properly before I take it to the tuner. Thanks in advance!

S14 zenki maf will not work on an S15 or S14 kouki (which as you suggest should be "oval plug") in my experience.

So I can't splice in the s14 zenki pig tail (square) onto the harness and use the zenki maf? Or are you just saying the plugs are different shaped.

pretty sure the maf itself is different. I remember distinct issues regarding these different years.

Okay, I didn't know if there was any major difference in them.

I know the connectors are different, but I was gonna wire the s14 square plug into the harness.

My understanding is that wont matter. Zenki maf is not combatable as in the ECU will not recognize it.

Okay thanks, just trying to avoid buying a maf that I'm just going to replace with my z32.!

Then get the ECU tuned & install the Z32 Maf or wire in an SAFC... Why waste time with a stock maf if you are just replacing it?
