What kind of pump(s) for higher hp setup?

I'm looking to upgrade my fuel pump since I'll be upping the power in my car significantly pretty soon, as far as fuel pumps go is it better to run dual pumps eg: 2 walboro 255lph's or would it be better / easier to run one single pump such as a walboro 400?

I'm not sure about fuel pressure, but it would be on 91 oct, maybe meth down the road but just 91 for now and around 450-500whp

Walbro 255. You're not making enough power(or using ethanol) to warrant dual pumps or even a big boy pump really. You could get a 340 or 400 if you really wanted to.

Pulled from another thread, you can find al, this information by just searching.

"1000cc/ 95.58 lbs Injectors = 650HP
so 95.58 lbs/ 1.58 = 60 liters each (4) injector per hour
x 4 = 240 liters per hour

Walbro 255 flows these numbers at these fuel pressures

60 psi the pump flows 360 lb/hr
70 psi the pump flows 332 lb/hr
80 psi the pump flows 285 lb/hr
100 psi the pump flows 160 lb/hr"

FWIW...I'm running the $100.00 walbro 455lph...555cc injectors, stock fpr, and stock lines...fuel pressure is a non-issue for me...duty cycle at WOT is about 70% at 20psi and 11.8 AFRs

why did i go with the larger pump even though i'm at relatively low power (300ish)...I may decide to run E85 at some point, and that's going to require a lot more fuel

keep your future plans in mind...a 255lph would be fine
