Odd headlight problem

So I just replaced a ahead light motor and now everytime I turn on the headlights the new motor takes the headlight down instead of up... So I tried adjusting it with the knob to get it back in sync. Didn't work the headlight goes up then back down when lights are turned on, same story when unplugging harness and adjusting. What is going on! It's driving me crazy. I even tried adjusting with battery unplugged...

When it's up can u spin the Knob or does it react to your input

were the lights up or down when you installed the motor and did you install the motor to match the other motor? when installing those I have found the best way to do it is plug it in and bolt it on, do not bolt on the arm until you have turned the headlights on and off in order to get the motor to turn to the right spot, the motor isn't always set in the up or down position when you buy them

Simple solution...

Turn the damn motors upside down. Problem solved.
