I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx w/ manual transmission & non-abs.. I want to swap over to my sr20det, but I can't seem to seperate this end piece of my ka24e driveshaft from its transmission.. I've tried removing in every single gear, tapping with a hammer to budge it a little bit, and prying the damn thing out, but nothing. I've searched and searched and I couldn't find a solution. If anyone has a suggestion on removing this thing or if it is even possible please let me know I've trying for hours now and selling the engine w/trans soon.. Thanks.

Yeah that's supposed to just slide off, I'd try a pulley puller.

Vato Zone rents them. I thing they even have a slide hammer one.

I don't think a puller would work in this situation. I think a slide hammer with a hub attachment would really well.

I GOT IT. Gave the hammer one more try before I went out and picked up a slide hammer and after a few swings it popped out lol. https://i.gyazo.com/c5b5949143baf8992a1ca875fb15c83a.jpg
Thanks for the help.

Good, now make sure that the teeth on the output shaft aren't fucked. On those trannys if driven hard they will begin to twist and crack and that could've caused your seizing issue, hopefully it was just some corrosion.

For sure, I'll check it out. Anything I can do to prevent future seizing issues before I reinstall it?

You can just lube it up with something like wheel bearing grease, it doesn't get hot enough to burn off and it'll help keep moisture out.

can you see any reason why it would of gotten stuck?

Dirt. It slid right out a month ago. I just placed the driveshaft somewhere on the ground and didn't even think twice to clean or lubricate it when I placed it back in.

It happens to me a lot, when I go all the way in. Most shafts don't extend to far into the orafice, which make them look like they'll fall out, on occasion they probably do, short shafters lol. Lube and being inconsiderable helps.
look it up!
