Hey Zilvia!
I've got a Carbonetic Silent 2-Way LSD, currently fitted into an s14 R200 housing with a 4.08 R&P plus the corresponding 2x3 output stubs. Pulled this out of my s14, and finally got around to opening it up.
Ooh. Carbon. But what makes this diff special? Carbonetic built this LSD carbon clutch packs and friction surfaces, which allows for a noise/chatter free operation. No obnoxious noises from the rear end, and no excessive tire noise in parking lots.
I'm moving to a z33 diff (better gearing and axles) for my s14. Even though I want to keep this, I don't feel like changing the ring and pinion to better suit my t56.I never got to drive the car with this installed. Heck, I haven't even got to drive the car since I picked it up last summer. But with myself and my business partner trying to rotate the output stubs in opposing directions, we can't get it to slip. Oil was clean, no sludge or grit at all.
PICS!
Housing is dirty as hell, I'll clean it up and paint it before I ship it out.
