I have a q45 6x1 bolt diff.
Unfortunatley this piece is a vlsd.
I want it to lock and im going to be dailying it.
Do i shim it? Does it work? Waste of time?
What other options are there?
What 2 way is availiable for this thing?
I have a stock s13 open to any suggestions im stuck on what to do since i already have the q45 and its beefy as hell.

Is this based on personal expierence? If so how well does it lock? I really dont mind replcaing the vlsd unit everyonce in a while as long as it locks and doesnt suck. Any aftermarket hlsd or 2ways for the q pumpkin that you guys know of would be helpful to i cant find any ):

experience with a friend who I race with regularly...he drove home on one axle when he snapped it after a great launch at the drags....basically you pull the viscous apart...put the Nissan shim recommended via google search and it acts like a 2 way...he is still driving on his first one...
