Ok guys my car was broken into and the ass who did it ruined most of the electronics so I have decided to take advantage and just put in a digital climate control. There was a post I believe on NICO that s14boy had done it with not much problem and no harness. I know the s13 is pointless since its so hard but s14 is doable for anyone willing to throw down the time.

If you guys look you see the USDM climate control on the bottom and silvia on top. The USDM had 3 harness connectors, the white one went in the far left which prob controls the unit turning on and off. If you look on the siliva one theres a white hole... Is something supposed to go in there??? And does anyone have JDM/USDM wiring diagrams that can help me figure out which wires to match? I will be cutting and splicing if need be. Another observation, the 2 connectors on the right, one on the far right of the Sivlia fits the one on the left on the USDM.

If that's what you think, you're in over your head.

You'll need plenty more parts and wiring.

I've written a full indepth install of mine on FA. A search on this forum would have told you that.

**And if you're basing anything off what you read on NICO, you might as well drop that 800hp RB in because it's a direct swap too, plugs right in, and only takes a few minutes. And the resistor in the AIT gives you 30hp, don't forget about that during the install.

Yes I did do a search and I dont know what FA stands for. There are like 50 posts of people saying its impossible so its hard to find on this site. Can you direct me to that site? Also one guy had used parts from US cars, I dont think I said i have everything, i just have a few things to start with. I know I will need motors and sensors. Thanks. Most people say its impossible for s13 which I understand, but if I put in the time I think s14 is doable. And if I do attempt this, ill take pics and write up a good how to. But I cant help you guys if you cant help me to begin with.

Ok i think i figured it out, fresh alloy...

Can you show me where the write up is?? I keep getting a bunch of people asking and nothing helpful on the search. A lot is for S13. Thanks

I don't remember. It's about a year old, search under 'JDM climate control'. I'd retype it all out but it was like four paragraphs.

The parts you'll need can't all be sourced from US cars either.

Is that it? Man that was using the entire wiring harness from a SR20 clip :( I might have to wait a year until i get my own s14 clip...:(

"Most parts you need are already in the car, the wiring is the main differnce. I redid the whole harness instead of cutting up the harness in the car. The hardest part of building your own harness is finding the plugs to fit, but these plugs are on a lot of nissans in various places on the interior. So heres a list of parts you WILL need (and donor cars I used)
1. Japanese Digital Climate Control
2. Plug to fit Japanese Digital Climate Control (from 89 Infiniti i-30)
3. Sunload sensor* (from 96 Maxima)
4. Plug for Sunload sensor*
5. Ambeint Air Temp Sensor* (from 96 Maxima)
6. Plug for Ambient Air Temp Sensor*
7. In-Vehicle Air Temp Sensor* (from 96 Maxima)
8. Plug for In-Vehicle Air Temp Sensor*
9. Aspirator* (from 89 Infiniti i-30)
10.Thermo Control Amp (from 96 Maxima)
11. Plug for Thermo Control Amp
12. Thermal Transmiter (from 89 240sx)
13. Plug for Thermal Transmiter
* = Not needed if you do not wish the AUTO function to work. AUTO fuction keeps interior at a selected air temperature.
-Extra Parts you need to make a new harness
14. Plug for Intake Door Motor
15. Plug for Door Mode Motor
16. Plug for Air-Mix Door Motor
17. Plug for Bi-level Door Motor
18. Plug for Blower Motor

You'll most likely find making a new harness to be the easiest way to do this. You will also need a spool of 20ga wire, butt-conectors or solder, a small screwdriver (from eyeglass kit), Dremmel, weatherstriping, and some time.
I will try to post some pics and further directions this week.

That is from s14boy on NICO. He never finished his post and the email on NICO, he does not reply to.
