saw this one the other day, someone got a steal on this. S54 car, decent mileage, although I'm sure it needs a few $$ in service costs. The nice thing about all the BaT cars is the community knows the issues with these cars and they are talked about. (subframe issues, etc) http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-bmw-m/

Basically what I've seen is a good budget for these cars is $15,500 - $25,000 for a GOOD S52 powered car. My ask of $18000 isn't too unreasonable and sits right in the middle. My car isn't 100% show quality perfect but it is a good car. I'm also flexible, if you don't want parts like coil overs or the wheels, all stock parts are available. Again it just depends on what your goals are.
