View Full Version : What does the S14 trunk lock solenoid/switch do?

Thought this was to pop the lock, but it looks like just a sensor (no moving parts, one contact and a double wire connector.

Looks like if I want trunk pop I need to go aftermarket.

Anyone know how Nissan did factory trunk open via remote?

That's the switch for the trunk light. There's also a switch to cancel the OE alarm, most of the S14s I've seen are prewired for it in the tail harness.

Nissan never had an OE release for the 240. A simple actuator can be added if you want one.
