Hello all,

I've picked up a Z32 NA diff and axles, and am doing a swap on my base s14 (Also swapping rear hub/brakes). I checked axle length of the Z32 axles, and it seems like the passenger side is just about the same length as the passenger side of the s14 (just barely longer). The Driver side however seems a bit too long. I can compress it to the same length, but I'm not sure if it'll cause issues in the long run. Has anyone tried running the z32 na axles, or does everyone simply go right to the J30 5bolt axles?

I am no expert but what I did.
I had a base s14 with oem one wheel wonder spinning,
I dropped in an SRDET.
went to junk yard
found a r32 non turbo 300zx diff pulled the R32 splins out
pulled out my base s14 spine
put z32 splins in s14 base one wheel wonder diff
attached my oem s14 axels to the R32 splins
got posi traction at the launch
I have no idea how that worked but it did.
car launches fine and drives fine until I hit around 110 MPH then there is a bad vibration in the rear end.
never found out why no reason until it breaks.. best of luck

Thank you for the reply, however Now I'm confused. Based on this you're saying:

1. Found a z32 diff, pulled the splines (output shafts i assume?)
2. Pulled output shafts out of the S14 open diff
3. Put the z32 output shafts (5 bolt) into the s14 open diff
4. bolted the S14 6 bolt (3 sets of 2), onto the 5 bolt z output shafts?

Or are you saying you put the S14 open diff output shafts into the Z32 diff?

For those curious, I mocked up the axles in the subframe. The z32 axle will fit on passenger side, but not driver. The short one from the z fits on passenger from the s14, but feels a little short fully extended, but ok at its shortest. I ended up finding some j30 axles at s pick n pull for 60 bucks, so I used those.
