RHD S13 steering rack

Looks like the steering rack in my 92 180SX is shot and I'm looking at rebuild options.

Does anyone know if the shaft that moves side to side in the rack is interchangeable with the LHD rack? Mine is pitted real bad and would need a $400 chrome job on top of a $200 rebuild.

unfortunately the shaft is different only compatible with RHD vehicles.
