I did thorough searches on and off for a few months now, and I think I've narrowed down what causes my clutch to make noises after continuous use on the road (say...stepping on the clutch 40 times total within an hour).
There are two plastic sleeves (a hollow cylinder type shape, very tiny) that holds the clutch spring in place..one is pretty much eaten up and I'm pretty sure that's what causes the noise.
Has anyone tried replacing this piece yet? just by examining the clutch pedal assembly, it looks extremely tedious (as mentioned in an old thread on zilvia).

Mine does it too. I'm going to try liberal amounts of silicon lubricant tomorrow and see if that fixes it.

the plastic sleeve will fix a squaek like that. they are like 1.50 from the dealer, I replaced mine on my previous 240 a few years ago, I think it was shaped like a top hat with a hole in it

Sorry...long post...read at your own risk!!!
TurDz...
Have you checked to see if the plastic Clutch Pedal Bushing, (Nissan Part #4653435F10...Nissan List Price as of 09/16/2000...$7.25), which goes between the clutch pedal assist spring and the black metal bracket in which the clutch spring rests in is still there??? (See attached photo)
If it isn't, then chances are the missing Clutch Pedal Bushing may be causing all of your squeaking problems. I had that same problem on my car about 4 years ago when the plastic Clutch Pedal Bushing broke on my clutch pedal assembly. As I got into my car back then I notice two pieces of a blue colored plastic clip about the size of a fingernail sitting on my driverside floorboard directly underneath my clutch pedal. Almost immediately after putting my car into gear, I started to hear a gawd-awful squeak everytime I pressed & released my clutch pedal. I also noticed that my clutch pedal wouldn't come all the way up also because of the broken bushing.
After going into the dealership & showing the parts counter guy the broken bushing, the parts counter guy was able to figure out what that part was & where it came from. After waiting about a week for the part, I crawled underneath the dashboard & disconnected the clutch pedal arm from the clutch master cylinder push rod, popped the spring from the metal bracket with a screwdriver, then installed the Clutch Pedal Bushing between the Clutch Assist Spring & the metal bracket, then forced the Clutch Assist Spring back onto the Metal bracket using a screwdriver / chisel to force the Clutch Assist Spring back onto the bracket. It was MAJOR pain in the ass to do as most of my time was spent on my back crammed underneath my dashboard trying to get the damn spring back onto the bracket without having the plastic bushing falling off...which it did several times.
If I'ld had to do it all over again, I'ld either pull the entire clutch pedal assembly off the car and replace it that way, or I'd just sell the car so I wouldn't have to deal with replacing that part!!!!..It wasn't fun & I hope to GAWD I don't ever have to fix / replace that stupid bushing ever again!!
Anyhow, hope this helps...

To see if you're missing that bushing you'll have to crawl underneath your dashboard with a very bright flashlight & look at the clutch spring area to see if you can spot the clutch pedal bushing. The attached photo should give you an idea as to what to look for.

well.. I have that squeeking every once in a while....
All I do is shoot WD-40 on the spring and wala... the noise is gone for about 6 months.. and then do the same thing again..
meh.. so it's a quick fix and not a permenant solution.. but it sure beats doing what others are doing... and it takes all of 30 seconds to do!

My slave cylinder sounds like an old creaky door.
And its BRAND NEW!! :D
The pedal on my WRX starts creaking after a while. Just spray some WD-40 on it and its all good.
