Hey guys, I know that there's some threads that cover aspects of seat mounting in the various S-Chassis already, but most of which is targeted toward side mount seats, which I admit are better, but I'm sure we've all seen that quality seat going cheap on Craigslist and couldn't say no... well I did.

Anyways that leads us here, I've since tried mounting this damn thing by modifying the stock slider and mount assemblies to mount to a bottom mount, and holy fuck that was a complete waste of time. The seat comes out way too high, too left, and too close to my cage (I'll provide pictures for all of this in the morning, granted I don't burn to death in my sleep from this post.)

So I'm trying to decide how to proceed with my situation, I was thinking of cutting the whole cat hump out of the car but I don't have a solid plan for a mount design due to most write ups being about the side mount set ups.

I also considered just notching the hump and raised section that the front mounting points are in and creating new ones but I'm not sure this will be much lower and still leaves the sides of the seat uneven and too far to the left.

Wow I ramble a bit, basically if you guys could contribute what you did to fit your bottom mounts to your chassis that'd be great, no idea is too drastic!

Okay you read till the bottom you can write that comment about how I'm stupid and should have bought a side mount instead.

My friend who is like 6'2 cut the hump and mounted seats directly to the floor. He had plenty of room. IIRC bride low max bottommount rails are the lowest bolt on option (that's what I have my sparco on in my car that you saw at the event, but it's still a touch higher than factory)

Only way you'll get a bottom mount at a respectable height is to flatten out the cat hump either by cutting it out or with a mallet, and bolting it directly to the floor.
Other than that gotta go side mount mate.

Is your goal low or also having sliders and adjustable back? There are tons of options for side or bottom mount seats that will be low without hacking up the car.
