man, this is a brutal game.

so far, only 2 solar system.
only 7 planets explored and still exploring. and I'm beat!

man, thought I could be a badass space pirate. but, I just get raped everytime. even AI space pirates are overwhelming, couldn't even down one freak little ship. ship controls is ugly in the first place. I even watched and waited. sentinel popos don't do shiet. other starships don't do shiet. it's only when you attack them. And you cannot get away from these suckers... unless you save and logout they'll disappear.

i'll get back at it, later. grinding for resource so I can buy a $3-6 million ship.

This was supposed to be a game about discovering new planets, but it turns out that there is already an alien outpost on every planet. All you do is rename the planet and animals, like some kind of a crazy colonial-era explorer. Not to mention that nearly every planet has fauna and flora, which is pretty silly.

yeah, 3 solar system close to each other were colonized and had similar spieces/plants/rocks. the 3rd system, I'm currently on with a different sentient lifeform ( so far ive met the geks and electronics) had a mildly different species/plants/rocks. I'm thinking the further I get from my origin starting point, the generator get vastly different.

one thing had been similar is
monolith...learn language
colonial outpost...manufacturing = blueprints
transmission.....find wrecks starships
shelter...drop pods
and its like that in each every damn planets and moons.

also, I finally figured out how to win a space battle! tank and stand still. the AI is pretty easy/predictable when you just stand still. you will be outnumbered most of the time so, beefing up shield and stocking up with titanium.

Same here. Sometimes I wish I had more time to play games, like I use to.

Yeah there were tons of first impressions of the game the day it came out and they overwhelmingly said the game was just boring. After reading reviews, I don't have time or patience for a game like this. The concept is cool though,I'll give them that. Possibly the most ambitious game ever made. Just sounds like it needs more substance.

Haven't gotten the chance to play it yet, but this is starting to disappoint me.

It is what it is... Nothing more then a exploring game...so far.
it does have that star control 2 exploration feel, that's why I kind of like it and enjoy it.

I'm on the fence about it. I'm a big ole space nerd, but I hate survival type games. Shit gets to grindy, and I'll lose interest quick. Never got on the hype train with this one.

Now when the next Mass effect drops, I'll be all over that.

you have to tank (filling up your shield) and not follow the AI. AI will flip back to you and just gun them down. its retarded.

honestly, I haven't been playing. after watching star citizen 3.0 alpha demo. I lost all motivation /desires to explore.

no matter. what alien interaction with always be stale. not like this...

After seeing the star citizen demo, all I could think is "please don't suck". I hope it's not just all eye candy.

I didnt get this game right away because of some reviews I saw & I wanted to wait for bugs etc to be worked out.

No online multiplayer mode , no base building etc.

I've been playing the shit out of Kerbal Space Program, it's been addicting to say the least.

^How many hours did you play?

I had such high hopes for this game then I saw the reviews.

Definitely a let down. I wanted to keep playing to give it a chance, then got distracted by another game I never finished and never felt compelled to come back to the game.

Sounds like what most players thought apparently. Player count is down 88%.

Yeah it's unfortunate because it was very ambitious. In the end it was just boring.
