Buying premade models and diecast models are lame to me. The best way to respect a model of a car is to go to your local hobby store and buy a model, some paint, some glue, tape, etc and build your car. The best thing about this is you can duplicate your car, duplicate your fav. drift, jgtc, race car, or just make a bad ass car. not to mention they're bigger than most diecast cars and hotwheels. plus you'll learn a lot about paint and the painting process of a model is similar to full size cars. I've been building models for three years and it's probably the coolest hobby i've gotten into. It's definitely addicting and it won't clear your bank account. Japanese model car makers such as Tamiya and Fujimi make 180sx silvias skylines. any car you can think of is out there. www.hlj.com has a lot of models to choose from.

Jada toys 1:18 model car
looks like it was modelled after JDMRice #1 since he was the only one with a kouki style front bumper and nismo style sides and rear.

If it wasnt soo out of proportion, id get one and just paint it to my liking.

I'm gonna buy a Silvia model (yes, the kind you glue together and paint yourself) once I decide on how the real thing is gonna turn out. Why? Because I get very bored after school and don't have anything to do or any money to do anything with.

I just got busy with school and work that I lost a lil interest in finishing this thing... i should get back to it tho cuz just buying the model and paints is expensive not to finish it..

made the exhuast out of tubing at model store... intercooler (that white block) is a radiator from an old viper model with plastic strips glued to it... seat harness is just tamiya masking tape painted red (it rocks!!)... drivers seat is from an old r32 model that I never completed (when I was a kid, always messed up models somehow while building).. I made a cusco rear strut bar from plastic strips, steering wheel from some old formula 1 model car that got broken.

some sites out there sell parts..

Someday Ill finish this 180.. I kinda messed up when I tried to flare out the rear fenders for a rolled look and put too much putty, and I tried filling in the body lines... imma have to sand em down.

I'm thinking I can get a 180SX and a S13 Silvia model change front ends and do a Sil-eighty and a One-via.

Anyone try this yet?

it should be pretty easy to do a onevia conversion. just gotta remove the front end pretty good though. attaching shouldn't be too hard either.
i got a bunch of 1/24 scale tamiya and fujimi models, but most of them aren't finished though.

heres my list:
ITR, CTR, 86 levin, 86 Trueno, Zenki S14, Two tone S13 silvia, FD RX7 and FD C west RX7
