I have a 1995 240sx track car. We run in a stock class where we must run stock ecu and rear gear. We are hitting the rev limiter at the end of the straights( in 3rd gear). We are not allowed to use an aftermarket ecu. They open them to tech them. My question is there a way around the fuel cut outside the ecu? This is my first dealing with a fuel injected track car so I am not sure if it could be done. Could the fuel pump be rewired to bypass the cut from the ecu?

The rev limiter doesn't cut the fuel pump, it cuts fuel injector pulsewidth. There isn't really anything you can do outside the ECU except shift to 4th or use bigger tires.

Well on an s13 ka u can switch the manual ecu for the auto one, deletes rev limiter I believe, not sure it will work for an s14, it's still a stock ecu?? So I would try it

Well in that case I hitting off rev limiter today when I dumped clutch from 5th going 90mph and I initiated and slowed down to about 65mph I dumped it into 3rd and still was about to pull out of a skid ! I was fishtailing mad. There was a 2012 bmw 328i hot on me on sunset Blvd lake merced Sean Francisco! I almost ate it!

You are talking about down shifting then hitting the limiter per my understanding. That's probably going to be a hard cut. With no ecu modifications only the driver can fix that.
