The engines are cheaper on the website. I want to know what makes these kits cost more. Do you add a warenty on the externals?

A "KIT" is everything you need to install without the need to put anything aftermarket into the engine bay:
motor,trans,ecu,MAS,intercooler,piping,ignitor,and so on and so on

If you've noticed in all of the threads the common theme is a reputable company. Everyone here, or atleast the most knowledgeable ones always stress that "You get what you pay for". In this case, people buying incomplete motor sets then whining when shit goes down and it takes longer or costs more than expected.

In this case, we as a 240 community are cheap as hell --- but we're very loyal to the vendors that we do have and trust.

I'm sorry but you can't just come in and offer engines w/ warranties just like that for any sort of price w/out introducing yourself or atleast giving us a chance to check your reputation or forum where people have bought stuff from you.

I also want to stress the fly-by-night scams that have appeared since the popularity of the 240sx and the SR-swap. There are a lot of really great car/motor/part importers for any manufacturer. There are also a lot of shitty ones. They all start similarily the same too --- a new vendor comes in to offer great prices, takes orders and money that disappears making the community wonder about it and leaving the veterans to only shake their heads when the offered warnings/words of advice.

In addition, there are a lot of Honda shops/importers that are trying to get a piece of this market. While they are great at picking out the ideal B18C or K20 motor for a Honda buyer, they might not have the same eye for quality on a turbo motor since Honda's are by majority NA. This is definitely true of the SR motorsets I've seen by mostly Honda shops --- also confirms my suspicions when they sell SR20DE motors as the DET variety.

I'm glad it says you're a Zilvia vendor because it provides more stability/security to us but it doesn't mean we will trust you right away. You'll have to really put your effort into converting us. The shops mentioned in the threads above have gone above and beyond our expectations in terms of service and support and those who are smart will know they extra value they receive w/ that higher price. Will you be there on Sunday evening/Monday morning at 2-3 am talking w/ a customer like Jeff/Yury of HT going over wiring schematics for a customer? I don't know but its this kind of service we expect and appreciate from our vendors like HT/PDM/Phase 2.

I know you're trying to get a piece of this market too and you might get a few buyers to buy a motorset from you sight unseen but the majority of us will want to inspect in person and offering personal inspections is a start. I wish you the best of luck in your business. I also hope that the 240 community will be able to mention your company off the tops of our heads in a positive way -- because we have too many horror stories and not enough quality shops we trust.
