Im having issues starting up my 1990 240sx hatch. Was converted to manual, but still has auto ecu because previous owner never swapped it out. I try to turn it on, but it doesnt crank nor startup. The battery was just recharged and checked for any issues. I replaced 3 30a fuses and the car turned on but slowly wanted to die out unless i would press on the gas. Im not sure what is causing the problem. But ive replaced the fuses twice, and battery is good. And help? Im being told it might be the starter, alternator or wiring harness. Not sure what to do at this moment.

Did you make sure to bypass the nuetral safety switch?

I think the ECU might make a difference, not 100% on that, it's been forever since I've had to do a manual conversion on one of these. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Don't know much but I do know you can use either manual or auto ecu and the car will run and drive properly.
