This is on an Auto to Manual conversion.

Hi all, installed a scytek G5.2w 2 way security system, keyless entry, and remote start on my 95' S14 base model. Everything is working great minus the remote starting function. The engine cranks and cranks but never turns over. I can start the car with the key just fine.

- I have rpm tach wire connected
- Tried with voltage start
- Tried with key in ignition and remote start
- Tried crank time even set at 4 seconds and just cranks

I have verified that the fuel pump does turn on/prime when I hit the remote start button.

Only thing I can think of why it's not starting would be that I don't have the hood pin switch connected so the brain thinks hood is open and as a safety feature won't start. I would think that the car wouldn't even crank if it sensed the hood open.

Anyone have any advice or where to start?
Thank you.

Did you wire anything to the ebrake switch?

Yes I wired the yellow wire from the 20 pin main harness to the Ebrake wire.

Reading a bit more, looks like for the 240sx I must utilize BOTH starter wires. Currently only using one of the starter wires Violet (starter1) to Black/Yellow. I will try hooking up the brown (starter 2) to black/white and report back.

Appreciate all the help.

Good luck, it's got to be something simple. It's cranking.

That was it. Connected the brown wire (starter 2) to black/white in IGN harness. Works like a charm!

thanks for this info guys,.

Not sure if anyone would want this info or not, but the small white wire harness side is used for aux (heater/ac). I connected this up to my 6 pin remote starter harness and now A/C or Heater is turned on when i remote start my car, granted its on when I leave the car.

Anyone know if you can tie the trunk & hood pin to the same wire on the brain? Thanks.

Lol yeah you can, but if you have another instant trigger pin on the brain, use that instead.
