Currently in the middle of a project where I decided painting the engine bay would be a good idea. I've started to take everything down to bare metal and then realized the sealant around the shock tower and other miscellaneous things had been chipped off and destroyed. Most people go ahead and shave it all off and weld these but unfortunately I don't have a welder. I am too far in the project to turn around so what should I do? is there a sealant I can buy that will replace this? or do I even need it? Thank You in advance.
