$10,000

1990 Nissan 300ZX (originally a TT car) with an LS3 swap using LOJ Innovation's kit. Needs the bottom end rebuilt after repeatedly losing oil pressure in a cork screw and presumably breaking a rod (didn't go through the block). There were metal flakes in the oil.

The car has AC with custom hoses (just needs to be charged) and all gauges (besides boost gauge obviously) work.

I just moved to Seattle and the car is in Texas so I wont have time to fix it for a few months. It would make a wicked track car with an Accusump so the same thing doesnt happen again.

The car sits right over 122,XXX miles on the chassis. It does have a rebuilt title from before I had it. The paint is nice, however from pulling the fenders to fit the new wheels the quarters are no longer perfect. The car is not perfect but still a great car that I daily drove, tracked and took to a few car shows.

Price without the wheels and seats is $1ok, willing to sell for more with wheels and seats. I know the price is high but the car was running perfectly before the motor went bye bye and I don't have to sell it.

MAY take trades.

Nice looking car, but like the previous post said that's a lot for it with a blown motor, no seats or wheels and a rebuilt title. Better off keeping it and fixing it if you want to get that much for it.

Beautiful car. I've always wanted a LS Z32.

I understand the price is a bit high, but it is a perfectly sorted car besides the obvious blown engine and I don't have to sell it. I have put over 10,000 miles on this setup and the ONLY issue I have ever had was an alternator going out on me.

If I don't get what I want out of it I will keep it and fix it. Without wheels and seats there is still 28k in parts. A bottom end can be picked up for $2k if you know where to look. I just dont have the time right now to work on it, ie the reason I posted an ad to see if there is any interest.

Did you align the oil pump when you built the motor? I was using a similar config on my LS3 M3 and had identical problem. Ended up being oil pump failure due to misalignment.

The car made a little over 470 rwhp and 430 rwtq, but I dont remember the exact numbers. It was on a mustang dyno.

Pump was on fine. I never had major oiling issues besides that day, just pushing the car hard through turn after turn did it.

Yeah, I mean, that, and the motor literally detonating. No big deal.

But seriously, you have a shit ton of money into this. Fix it or part it out. No one is going to gamble on something they have to tow home on their own wheels and they can't even sit in it to top it off, only to find out upon disassembly that the entire motor is fucked.

Also, a built LS3 exploded with barely more than stock hp in only 10,000 miles? That doesn't speak well of the quality of whoever put this thing together or the abuse it may have seen.

Lol dr_ I drove the car a bunch, and show me a cleaner LS swap. Out of every LS swap 300ZX I know of mine has had the least issues.

It is not a built LS3 either. It is a stock short block with ported and milled heads and bolt ons. Also barely more than stock at 470/430 to the rear wheels? haha

Any motor will let go when repeatedly losing oil pressure while being pushed around the track especially in cork screws and high G turns. Three 20 minute sessions around a track do a lot to a car.

I'm not saying it's not a clean car. It's def. the cleanest LS Z I've seen, all I'm saying is you're much better off parting out. People have a weird complex about buying a car with a blown motor. You could probably get much more out of it by selling the blown motor, then sell the car ready to have another dropped in and go.

Or better yet, hunt down a short block to throw in.

I would consider it, but the salvage title is a no go.

Yeah the salvage is a killer unless you're looking to do track time with it

I was almost game but rebuilt title and a blown ls3, that just sucks it out of me at that price

It's odd that it had the oiling issues when it's got the crank scraper and high volume oil pump...

Smartone

It is not odd when pushing it around high G corners and making pretty quick times. LS motors are known for not being the greatest on oil pressure on Road Race events. I just thought I would be okay for the time being.

Bump this up.

The car is priced high. It is hard to say that this is a reliable swap when the motor is currently blown-up. Is what it is...

I do find it funny that people are worried about a rebuilt title on cars that have pretty much had ground up rebuilds. At this point the title status is irrelevant unless you are trying to get a loan on it which would just be silly. Nice build! Keep it and fix it!

You'd have to go to a pretty exotic beach to find shells that are nicer than this one.

Trying to see if it will sell in the next few weeks. if it doesnt then I may keep it.

$10k without wheels and seats. $15k with.
