View Full Version : Drop Knuckles that work with Drum-in-disc brakes

Hi there,

So I've been trying to research as much as I can about the Driftworks Geomaster knuckles. I found out that the drum-in-disc performance is gravely affected by the way you need to mount them on the Driftworks knuckles (switching the left assembly to the right side, and vise versa). This is quite disappointing.

Now, I'm looking for:

a) Other drop knuckles that are sure to work with the z32/ skyline drum-in-disc set up

b) A way to mount the rear drum brakes properly so that it doesnt affect the awesome performance of the drum brakes

Seems like its an issue that has affected quite a few people and I wanted to try to consolidate the solutions and alternatives in this thread

the newest gen PBM knuckles are supposed to work with z32 drum ebrake. I believe the GKTech ones do as well (but I don't recommend the gktech, we had quite a few issues with the sets we ordered)

Thanks for the info!

I just have a question about the PSM rear knuckles-- it states that it has a TRUE 25mm drop. Driftworks claims ~50mm of correction on their rear knuckles. Do they measure the amount of roll center correction differently?

PSM mentions "Fake drop at coilover", is this referring to the driftworks design? (Doesnt driftworks just make the hub higher?)

Sorry if Im lacking some knowledge on roll center/ geometry concepts, but which one has more effective roll center correction?
