Okay I feel like an idiot here. Got this creamy grey two tone with a single cam that mixed fluids but ran great. Took the whole front off and fixed the mixing fluids but trying to put everything back together I'm having a hard time getting it running right again. I've checked the fuel spray and while cranking all four injectors fire simultaneously. It backfires through the intake and will not idle. Things I've tried: stabbed the oil pump/dizzy shaft 1000 times, bought new distributor, tried different ECU and most recently installed new harness as per forum searches.

Any suggestions or tests to perform are appreciated.

Double check your timing. Did you mess with the timing chain?

Yes. The original problem of mixing fluids was the timing chain ate the slack side tensioner and ate through the timing cover where water passes through so I replaced all that. Triple checked the mechanical timing, plated links all in the right place when we put in together and checked cam position after turning it over a few times and resetting to TDC.

Yes I replaced the timing chain along with the timing cover and tensioners. I am confident in the mechanical timing. Used the plated links when setting it, checked three times and checked the cam position. About 90% confident in the spark timing, its a fucked way to set it in the first place but I can't get it running well enough to put a timing light on it to see if I'm way out. I've tested the fuel spray and maybe thats not the only issue but its wrong regardless. No idea how to fix it though.

Firing simultaneously, as in AT THE SAME TIME?

Yes as far as I know that's the only definition of simultaneously. Same time. All four pulsed together while cranking.

The injector pulse is normal according to the FSM (page EF&EC 17)...I seriously think that your oil pump is stabbed in a tooth off, I know you said you checked it. IIRC, with the distributor removed, the "D" shaped key should be at the 11-11:30 position.
