Hey guys , I tried bleeding my lifters I could only depress 2 out of the 8 . I submerged them all in oil and witnessed air bubbles come out of each . Will I have issues like ticking? Thanks for any help.

All the lifters I submerged in oil and I witnessed air bubbles , I also put the lifters back in the head with shims and rocker arms . I just want to be sure I'm not going to encounter any issues thanks guys

why would you go any further with assembly if you knew there was an issue?
Just turn it on and see if it sounds like theres a bunch of marbles tinging around the head. Or take it apart and try bleeding again.

Good point I figured before I disambled the head I had no issues with noise , would putting the hla in a clamp be a good idea to compress them then bleed them agian in the oil?

Just put the lifter in a vice with a rag over the jaws as to not damage that lifter. Slowly tighten the vice until lifter is fully compressed and let sit for a couple second so all the oil bleeds out. Once you have them all bled then submerge them in oil. Slide a paper clip down the top of the lifter while they are in the oil and press up and down on the plunger with the paper clip inserted. You will see little bubbles coming out. Once you press down on the lifter a few times in the oil it should become basically solid, meaning it is completely filled with oil. I then like to let them sit standing straight up in the oil for a day or two just to be 100% sure all the air has bled out and they are completely filled with oil. You should be good to go once youve done this.
Sometimes it is a little difficult finding the actual plunger with the paper clip so you might have to maneuver it around a bit but once you do you will notice almost like a little click from the paper clip when it finds it.
Hope this helps,
Cameron

+1 Leave them in the oil until you are ready to put them back in the head. It can be difficult to find the sweet spot when bleeding them. I used a small allen key but it shouldnt take much effort. You pretty much just jerk it off it in the oil. Just make sure you keep them upright until you have them in the head.
