pbm angle kit problems

So I'm stumped with my pbm angle kit I have on my g35. I keep having two problems. 1.) I keep going through inner tie rods and 2.) I've noticed the inner lip / wall of the tire is showing signs of touch the ground.

In the front I'm running no front sway bar, 3* camber, 5* caster and .02 toe out on each side. Running z32 tie rods for more thread engagement.

Has anyone dealt with these problems before or have any idea on how to fix?

I am planning on putting the sway bar back in with adjustable ends.

are you bending inners or just the bearing is developing play?
what psi do you run in front and have you been dirt dropping the front or hitting rumble strips?

They develope play. The knuckles haven't been trimmed yet. No dirt drops or rumble strips course is a parking lot and does have cracks through

how long are the inners lasting? like 1-2 events? what kind are you using?
when you say "the knuckles haven't been trimmed yet" I'm not sure I know what you mean.

I have been using moog inners. They have been lasting 1 event. brand new inners then aligned. The angle kit hits the oem knuckle, to avoid this pbm recommends trimming the knuckle a little for more angle. I was waiting for them to release their redesigned knuckle.

When you say "the angle kit", what are you referring to? How are you running stock knuckles if you have "an angle kit"? Usually the stock knuckle gets replaced with a modified knuckle.

okay so the "angle kit" retains the oem piece that the hub attaches to, but changes the tierod end pickup point like an aftermarket knuckle on an s chassis would?

no front sway bar is prob the reason for the sidewall rub.

if you are using the "offset tierod spacers", maybe these are having a strange effect on the z32 inners? Maybe you just found the perfect formula of suspension settings to kill tierods in a z :)

Yeah this is really odd. Moog does warranty most of their shit, I'd send em back and get new ones on the way. You may wanna get the car up on an alignment rack and go from lock to lock and look closely for any binding that may be happening

You need to run the PBM S14 tie rods and trim them down and run the provided PBM outer tie rod endlinks. That is what I am running and its working out great so far. I am still using the front sway bar and 3.5 deg front camber and drift over rumble strips and I do not have these issues.

I slightly grinded down my front knuckle for a little more angle but I moved the steering bump stops out just to try to keep my rack from maxing out.

Thanks Micheal, I thought oem tie rods had a larger range of motion than the pbm so i went with those. I'm going to adjust my bump stops as well. I feel like I'm just trying to pull too much angle from my settings and set up.

You're welcome! That's what it sounds like to me. You could probably run those no problem but you would have to put the bump stops out so far it wouldn't give you much angle. To fully take advantage of the setup the S14 tie rods I think are the best option, I cut I believe at least an inch or two off them since they are so long but I cant remember how much we cut them down. I believe the info is somewhere on PBM's website.

Also if you want to try bumping your caster up to 8 deg I think you will like the feel better :)
