Sold

Yep, time to sell another unicorn. This is a rare original hardtop SE model silver moss kouki with 5-speed transmission. I just recently rolled over 100k miles, and the mileage will increase since I drive it regularly. The drivetrain is mostly stock aside from a performance clutch, and it runs great without any issues. It is an absolute blast to drive with the current setup and is very daily-friendly. This car should pass emissions inspection in any state.

Here are some of the features and mods:

-Factory keyless entry with antitheft
-5-speed transmission with centerforce stage 3 clutch
-Full z32 brake conversion front (30mm aluminum) and rear with z32 bmc, r33 brake cables, and stainless braided teflon coated lines bled with ATE 200 high-temp fluid
-s15 helical/torsen differential with low miles
-KYB AGX adjustable struts with Tein S-Tech springs
-R32 GTR forged aluminum wheels with new meaty Toyo Proxes T1R tires in 245-45-16
-New OEM kouki front lip
-Rear lip
-Black leather/perforated leather with red stitch shift knob/boot, Z32 ebrake handle and boot
-Authentic Cs short shifter
-Nismo engine and transmission mounts
-Koyo aluminum radiator with silicone hoses
-Aluminum subframe collars
-Aluminum shorty antenna
-LED gauge cluster and ac control lights
-Alpine head unit and brand new old-school top level Infinity Kappa component speakers
-Silvia hood emblem in black
-Low beam Morimoto HIDs
-Recent maintenance including new thermostat and water pump, oem hood bumpers, door strikers, key fob

This is my 14th s-chassis and I've also owned 17 z32s. I have a lot of experience with these cars and work on them regularly. This is one of the overall cleanest and most unmolested examples of a kouki I have seen in many years. I spent years searching for this car, and chances are a cleaner one won't pop up soon. The car was originally an automatic when I purchased it; it has never been abused. I completed the 5-speed swap myself using all oem components aside from the clutch. Trans was recently filled with fresh Amsoil mt gear oil.

The interior is clean, confetti seats look nice and clean but the car has been used so there are signs of wear here and there. The Momo steering wheel pictured is not included and will include a stock steering wheel.

The undercarriage of the car is spotless. It looks as if it was never on a lift, frame rails look mint. There are no fluid leaks, etc. I performed all recent maintenance so only basic maintenance should be required for years to come.

The paint on this car is original, and it shows. The original owner purchased the car with every option, including a front bra and side trim pieces. Those were long gone when I purchased it, but they left their mark in the form of wear from the bra or glue residue from the trim pieces. The rear bumper has a spot where it was touched by a golf kart and the paint chipped off. The paint overall looks fine from 5 feet away, most of the blemishes require being on top of it to see.

I bought the car from a guy who bought it from this link with incredibly detailed pics of the car:
http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=613435

I am not looking for trades. The only reason I am listing this car is because I am moving and no longer have as much space and must downsize my collection. I set the car up to be a fun daily with occasional weekend warrior use, but never got around to anything more than daily driving. I will try to provide better pictures, I included the ones I had available and need to do a decent photo shoot. I'm sure I forgot some details, feel free to ask if I left anything out.

Asking $12k firm, or $11k without the R32 wheels (would need to bring your own wheels). No trades. Clean title in my name. I am not in a hurry to sell, and I would prefer sitting on it to ensure it goes to a good home rather than see it get destroyed like most.

Car is located in Birmingham, AL. PM or comment if interested

Great car, please make sure it finds the appropriate home. Hardtop SE, 5-speed, rare silver moss color, love everything about this car (and I am pretty anti-s14).

As a matter of fact Steve Holt, it is the same car that was an auto listed for $8500 last year. Except now it's a 5-speed that's been detailed and has over $6k in parts upgrades and maintenance.

Glorious. Good luck, Justin B.

I am glad you can't sensor this forum the same way you can on Facebook.

Your communication was very professional on Facebook. I'm sure you'll make someone very happy. /sarcasm

Edit: Steve Holt! (For anyone that gets it)

While I realize it may not be a big deal for you to take time out of your evening to message me with questions I already answered, and you might have found it offensive for me to suggest reading the ad first, it would save me considerable time given the fact that my phone hasn't stopped lighting up since I posted it. But thanks for your consideration.

And for the record, it's not unprofessional to ask someone to read a sale ad before messaging me. That's why I took the time to write as much detailed info as I could. Both of our time is invaluable, maybe in the future you could consider that.

That is not how it happened, but ok.
I am go back to lurking now... I'm mad at myself for even letting you get me worked up.

2021 edit: think this guy had me mixed up w someone else. I would definitely message before reading the whole ad, but I wouldn’t ruin someone’s sale by saying a car is totaled (unless I had solid proof and they did something that felt like a personal attack).
...
I gave up on a silver moss around this time, and went with an FD. I got tired or all the people flipping cars in the market without ever titling it themselves or having a dealers license. I’m not saying that’s what this sale was, because I don’t remember this specific car well, but I had tried getting several that fit this description.

You're right, I never mentioned the part where you posted derogatory and false statements in my fb thread claiming this car was a totaled/rebuilt northern car that I was attempting to cover up. I only mentioned the part where you messaged me nonsense and wasted my time when you could have simply read the ad.

Nice car. Man Koukis get more expensive by the day. Wish I would have known this before I moved back to America, I would have been a millionaire :(

No thanks, but that's a great car. My dad had one for well over 200k until a tractor-trailer blowout totaled it.

You can always finish an sr swap later, but you can't always source a clean silver moss kouki later :2f2f:

Will it drive back to California ?

People keep asking me this question. The drivetrain is basically stock and it barely has 100k miles. It would drive to the moon and back if you paved a road and provided fuel and oxygen.

Was listed for $8500, now has a manual transmission and R32 wheels. Price seems more than fair with the other things done since purchase.

OP, is the car a clean title? I hope I didn't miss it in the details.

Yes clean title is stated in the last paragraph in bold. And yeah I have put nearly $7k into it since I bought it in parts alone, let alone labor. And that was the cost for me getting relatively good deals on parts. The car needs nothing but to be driven.

My bad. Coffee hasn't kicked in this morning. Car is definitely worth the money. I don't even like S14s and I'd snag this if I wasn't leaving the country. GLWS.

It isn't, the guy who owned that car said the same thing. This is an original Tampa car and I did the mods myself. You can click the link in the op and see how the car was sold last year.
