yeah I hate that reporter now. let me say how a major accident just happened a few feet from me and the lady in one car isn't moving and that there is smoke coming from the car but I'm going to just stand here and talk about it rather than run my ass over and see if she's even breathing or if there is any fire or anything. even though I'm sure theres an extinguisher in our news van I need to get this story.
yeah its people like that, that make me sick. If I had stood across a 6 lane highway and watched a van smoking and catching on fire an old lady would probably be dead right now, but instead I ran across the highway and pulled her out to safety. and I risked my life because that van could have gone up in flames any second, no this guy sits on his fucking ass and talks about it.

Holy crap that's near where I live, in Kansas. If I see that guy I'll give him a swift kick to the balls. I always get sad when I see a bad wreck. Just in the past month I've seen a 8 year old boy get hit by a van. He was sent, by helicopter, to Wichita. And just this last Friday, an old lady trying to pass someone in her Windstar ran straight into a semi truck. It ran up onto her van and she's now dead. It was on the way home from school and when I got to where it happend traffic was being redirected. I wish I didn't have to see wrecks. Probably why I don't street race.

don't they have the "good sumaritan" law there? WTF?!

I don't know about everyone else, but where I live, that reporter would be going to jail. He was the ONLY one there! Yet he blabs on (reporting rather poorly, I might add) and doesn't help. Our laws say that if such a thing happens, and you do not at least make an attempt to give aid, you're liable.

Guess who's gonna burn in the purgatory of his religious denomination's choosing. Minus 5 billion karma points jagoff.

Now I am not saying he should not have helped her. This is more or less a rant of stupid, annoying people, from a similar situation.

it can be a lose, lose situation. If he doesn't help her, he looks like an a-hole, and if he has any kind of conscience he would feel like crap for the rest of his life. But if he runs over, and trys to help her, he could have been injured(not so bad), however, if he did something wrong he could have gotten in a lot of trouble. My uncle, a police officer, was off duty when he saw a car on fire after an accident. He runs over, pulls the woman from her burning car, most likely saving her life. Now she is sueing(sp?) him for all he is worth. Why? Because she had a broken back and was unconsious, and when my uncle pulled her from the car he obviously moved her and agitated it. She now cannot move from the waste down. So she wants money from him because of the pain she sufferd. Dumb b**ch, wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for him. So it could be a lose, lose situation.

cliffnotes: uncle pulls unconscious woman from burning car, she has a broken back, she is now crippled from waste down. sueing(sp?) my uncle because he saved her life.

What state was this in? Most have good samaritan laws. Where if you try to help someone that is in danger you are proteced from this sort of thing.

I know. And he really doesn't even have anything to worry about. It is the principle of the matter. Someone saves your life and you sue them? That is just messed up. I probably should have put that in the original, but it was just a rant.

yeah doubt the judge does anything for her.

I'd rather risk my life saving somebody elses, than watch them die without trying to help. call it my marine mentality or whatever you like.

"ok matt we're calling 911 go check and see how that woman is" is what the lady in the news room says because she probably realizes what a dumbfuck that guy is. Seriously, I watched the moment of impact like 30 times and I don't think the crash was survivable. The woman probably thought it was a four way stopsign intersection and the truck would slow down to stop. Sad shit. No one mentioned how ironic it was that the crash happened as he was reporting about crashes happening there.

Looked like he hit her in the driverside door at probably 60+ since there is a 55mph speedlimit. If she did survive, she's probably wasn't conscious.

the person probably never saw the guy coming. THe van had crossed safely and they probably assumed that it was safe to cross. Just shows how little attention people pay to the road when they are driving...They were probably staring at the news crew. So sad.

SilviaGirl is the first one to actually bring up the fact that the woman in the red car was a moron. This crash was preventable in the first place.

Let's face it, this is the same type of person who pulls out in front of you and wrecks your S13 because he/she is too busy paying attention to some bullshit that has nothing to do with operating a vehicle.
They all get what they deserve in the end.

Too bad the car didn't swing around and take that nutless reporter out with it...

Hey, 2:40am. Bitchin.
