Hi guys,
editing this post a touch now as I have decided to go with the XM mounts since clearance with bonnet / hood does not seem to be an issue :)

Next question is - what sway bar are you 2jz XM mount swapped fellas running?

motor - 2jz
chassis - s14
mounts - xcessive manufacturing
issue - what sway bar are you guys running

So I've read that some people are having clearance issues with the stock sway bar and some aren't ..
Roll call on those who have been able to run stock sway bars with the front sump 2jz vvti without having to notch the sump?
Whats the best aftermarket sway bar available? From experience, thicker is not always better ... so some bars may offer better handling than others pending design and thickness .. any input is greatly appreciated
And those who run aftermarket front sway bars, what have you done with regards to the rear sway bar to balance out the front 'upgrade'?

Thanks for the help guys!

i have a 1jz vvti in a s13 using their brackets and my hood closes fine. using the OEM nissan mounts. i can't imagine the s14 ones to be TOO different

this is great news guys ... the more ppl who can chime in and agree on successful clearances, the more confident I am ..

I don't think transmission choice would affect bonnet / hood clearance - in any case, I will be running a cd009

Just searching and decided to dig up a slightly old thread. I too have xcessive mount brackets and their series 15 urethane mounts.
Mounted my 2jzgte vvti in the car two weekends ago.
It fits however very snug, rubs on the sway bar. I have already ordered a sikky front sway bar to remedy this.
I can say they look like they will be very functional. The only other gripe i have is without some form of modification hood closure with the factory twins is pretty much impossible. I think I will end up needing hood spacers. Not the look I was going for but if its what is needed so be it.

P.S. wiringspecialties lets get those 2j vvti harnesses out! I am waiting on yall. Never done me wrong out of the 3 harnesses that I have bought from you guys always a quality product.

After a bit more diagnosing. The hood is in no way going to close properly without modification to the hood, and some sort of spacer in the rear. Or going single turbo. Kind of a bit disappointed at this point. I purchased mounts/mount brackets, shifter extension for the r154, transmission mount and driveshaft from them and to have it not fit seems a bit like I bought the "cheap stuff off ebay" than from a reputable company. I have already emailed them we will see what comes of it. I will post pictures whenever I have a chance to detail what is contacting where.

Update: Received an email back from Cassie PartsChick at xcessive. When I originally sent the email to them in regards to ordering the mounts I assumed incorrectly that I would be sent the Series 15 mounts they advertise for the JZ swap's on their website. I was invoiced and charged for the OEM replacement urethane mounts. Series 3. which are according to the website 3/8" taller. Not sure if thats going to fix the issue but we will see.

I don't want anyone to think I dislike Xcessive, they are a great company to deal with and would absolutely plan to do business with again. Customer service is top notch and email response time is easily less then 12 hours.
I just am trying to give an honest review on their mounts.
