View Full Version : VA PE1420 Turbocharger and Rare HKS Race BOV

Up for sale is my extra PE1420 turbocharger. The PE1420 is ceramic dual ball bearing IHI turbo that has been be reworked by Power Enterprises in Japan. It was marketed by PE as the fasted spooling turbo in the world and is arguably the best bolt on replacement turbocharger for the sr20 ever made. I acquired this turbo in a trade and haven't personally used it but it has minimal play and appears to be in good shape. The turbo comes with the optional adjustable wastegate but I have tested it and it leaks to you would either need to replace the diaphragm or use your OEM wastegate.

Next up is a old school HKS race blow off valve in good condition. This is a pretty rare piece and I have only ever seen one other one before. It isn't like the typical SSQV and is more like a bigger version of the Greddy Type S valve, it even uses a Greddy flange. I have tested this and confirmed that it works. Asking SOLD

I haven't taken it apart to verify but it did function on my SR at stock boost pressure so I believe that it has the blue spring in it which I think is 7-14 psi.

Awesome parts for sale that PE turbo is top notch turbo.... and that is a HKS RACE BYPASS valve which has the stiffer spring HKS never advertised it as BOV.... BUMP

The struggle is real, I'm right there with ya.

Fun facts, as I had to think (& research) really hard about this, the WG actuator is around $200, so for $650 you are getting a FANTASTIC turbo.

Assuming it needs to rebuild sometime in the future it's around $600 for CHRA.

There is also a video of a dude on youtube with it on an SR SCCA road racing and that turbo is so instant.

ugh, now I want the turbo again...

^^^ Good info. I actually have two of these and I ran the other one on my SR car until recently. Spool is almost instant, its awesome. I would hold onto it but I don't really have any use for two of these and I figured it would be a quick sale. I'm really surprised nobody has jumped on it yet since they almost never come up for sale.

Love this turbo, got one on my 180. Super responsive and pulls hard to redline. I like it more than my oem s15 turbo on my 240.
